I had a 33 week appointment yesterday with the OB who saw me in the hospital (remember I had to switch my care to an OB until I got to 34-35 weeks). Seeing as though I am cooped up in my house all day, it was the highlight of my week:) Seriously though, it did wonders for my spirit to be able to get some fresh air and sunshine!!
The appointment was pretty routine. My blood pressure was the best it's been in a while, I had lost a pound (how does that happen since I'm sitting around all day?), and I'm measuring 32 cm (which could just be because I have small babies or because the baby has dropped a little bit). The baby is still head down and very low, with a heart rate in the high 140s-150 (perfect). We talked about the lessened amount of contractions that I have been having lately, and he seemed very pleased with how things are going (I am too!). He told me that I can graduate from the OB care and transfer back to the midwives next week for the remainder of my pregnancy- yeah! A mini goal reached! He also suggested that I continue on my bed rest for another week or so and then I can increase my activity a little. I think I'd like to make it to 35 weeks before I increase my activity, but I'll take it one day at a time and see how the week goes. I don't want to take any chances and regret it later. So, overall things are going as well as they can at this point and I'm feeling pretty good (just bored). I pray that goodness continues!
