I've made it to 31 weeks- yeah! Less than 62 days to go until my due date and I'm getting very excited to meet this little one. According to babycenter.com, the baby is around 16 inches long and about 3.3 pounds, or roughly 4 navel oranges, this week. I don't know why they compare fetuses to the size of fruit and vegetables, but whatever works. From here on out, the baby just continues to plump up.
I had another regular appointment this past Monday and everything is status quo. Since it's only been a little over a week since my last appointment, it was a pretty standard appointment and just a 'check-in' to see how I am doing. They aren't able to repeat the fetal fibronectin test for two weeks, so that and perhaps a cervical check will happen at my next appointment. I'm very interested to know whether or not all the contractions that I have all day long are doing anything to my cervix or not. Thankfully, the pain and pressure I had been feeling has become a lot less, which leaves me a little less worried about how long I'm going to carry this baby. I've really been trying to stay off of my feet as much as I can, which is doing some good, hopefully. The good news from the appointment is that the baby is still head down, with a HR in the 140s, and I'm measuring right at 30 cm. My weight and blood pressure all look good as well. So status quo for now; we'll know more after the next appointment.
I continue to try and get things ready just in case the baby decides to come early. We got the cradle up from the basement last weekend, and it is all set up in our room with freshly washed linens and some nice soft blankets.
My hospital bag is about packed and the video camera is fully charged and ready to use. I'm also very excited that the boys' big brother shirts came yesterday- they are adorable! I'm not going to post any pics until they actually get to wear them, but I love them! I can't wait to get the matching "little brother" or "little sister" shirt after the baby arrives!

Speaking of little brother or sister, I have no idea which this baby is going to be. With my other two pregnancies, I knew they were boys, but for some reason this time around I just have no inclination one way or the other. I change my mind almost daily;) Others around me feel the same way. I hear a lot of "Are you having another boy?" but no one with a strong opinion one way or another. I guess we'll all be surprised when the baby is born- I can't wait!
Well, I think that about covers what's been going on with the pregnancy. I'm hoping this baby stays put for another 4-5 weeks!
